Hierarchy

Same inventory as English charge_FEE and Hungarian felszámol. Not four-place. Surface count can name the bank, a payer, fifty thousand, a currency, and a bitcoin. The lexicon does not list four co-arguments of √CHARGE_FEE / √ТАКСУВ-.

Fifty thousand in yen or dollars is one MeasureP. Amount and Denomination are inner arguments of that object. Composition is V(MeasureP), not V(n)(U). Bare Какво answers the whole QP or a fee-type first. Denomination alone is the marked reading. It is not the first answer out of the blue.

Geometry is 1+2 with optional outer Consideration: one Initiator, one applied Source, one measuring object. That is the FROM dual of плащам’s payment. It is not English DOC copied as two bare Themes, not Hungarian Focus height, not Polish genitive of negation, and not sell’s Price-as-MeasureP.

Working hierarchy: Chargor > Payer/Source_{на in the comparison probe} > MeasureP ⟨n,U⟩_{direct object} (> Consideration за).

таксувам is one lemma, the imperfective citation. The denomination questions use present 2pl таксувате. The yes/no shape is таксува ли. Present 3sg and aorist 3sg share the form таксува. With преди две минути the comparison probe is past-shaped. That homophony is not a second root and not a perfective lemma ranked beside таксувам. There is no particle to separate and no preverbal Focus slot for не or WH to steal. не sits before the verb. The direct object keeps its shape. Bulgarian has no nominal genitive for negation to write. That rewrite belongs to Polish obciążyć.

No English double object of Payer + MeasureP as two bare Themes. обвинявам is the ACCUSE pair on the same plate and a different root, already live at blame-bg.html. Do not merge the roots. A да-clause on this plate is that ACCUSE complement or an outer CAUSE, not ⟨n,U⟩.

MeasureP WH · denomination diagnostics

WH forces Amount ≠ Denomination inside one direct-object MeasureP. Verbal WH sees that object. It does not see unit and degree as two objects of таксувам. Same MeasureP pattern as English charge_FEE: the MeasureP is the fee, not a Price inside Consideration. Bulgarian has no unique Focus host, so these questions are not Hungarian particle-separation. They are ordinary WH on таксувате.

Group C’s Bulgarian packaging claim is that WH clusters do not split Amount from unit. A fronted cluster can ask more than one thing. It still cannot take the degree as one WH object and the unit as another object of таксувам. Unlike Hungarian felszámol, this is not Focus uniqueness: Bulgarian does not reserve a single preverbal host, and it does not separate a particle. The denomination block does not print a starred cluster. None is filed here as elicitation. The printed rescue of U is the single recoding В каква валута таксувате?.

There is no genitive of negation on this QP. не does not rewrite Какво or петдесет хиляди into a genitive. The direct object stays the direct object. Polish obciążyć is the Group C host of that rewrite. It is not this page.

In the FEE geometry the Payer is the person the money comes FROM. In плащам the Recipient is the person the money goes TO. e2 of charge_FEE is debit / OWE of ⟨n,U⟩ on the Payer. A later payment does not have to be true for the levy to be true.

• sell. Price is the MeasureP of a HAVE-goods root. за on this page is Consideration of the debit. It is not that Price. No Bulgarian sell micro-entry is opened here. sell·Navajo stays deferred.
• deduct. Shared FROM + MeasureP. English deduct keeps Domain as a from-PP. English charge_FEE can promote the Payer to a bare object beside the MeasureP. Bulgarian does not copy that promotion as two bare Themes. The probe’s Payer is на.
• обвинявам / виня / charge_ACCUSE. Ascription: Judge > Target > Accusation. Different root on the same Group C plate. The direct object there is the Target. No selected MeasureP. No Appl_FROM of money. за there is Charge content. за here is Consideration of a fee. Same preposition, different licenser. See blame-bg.html.

Voice introduces Chargor. Appl_FROM introduces Payer. MeasureP sits as Incremental Theme of the debit (direct object). Consideration attaches as за. There is no Recipient HAVE shell, no Hungarian verb-modifier slot, and no English double object of two bare Themes. Putting any of those in is how a four-place accident gets written.

Proto-roles are shell-local. Chargor is a partial Proto-Agent (institution, script, meter). Payer is Proto-Source, not Proto-Recipient. MeasureP is Incremental Theme of the debit. Denomination is not a further theta role.
