Working paper. Hungarian micro-entry opening Group C FIN after Group D closed on live Norwegian godskrive (Done=83), following German gutschreiben and Dutch bijschrijven / crediteren. Geometry from Lexical_Entry_Credit_Argument_Structure (FIN half) and NegQ association maps from Negative_Questions_Credit, sharing √CREDIT_LEDGER with the live English, Germanic, Romance, Japanese, and Mandarin twins and the FROM dual deduct. Focus uniqueness is the Group C shell plate already used on creditMERIT · elismer, attributeATT · tulajdonít, and blame · hibáztat / okol. Constructed diagnostics diagnose the printed clothes (DAT Account + ACC MeasureP), prefix separation, MeasureP integrity, the Allocator filter, and the FIN / MERIT / ATT / blame split. They are not spontaneous-speech citations. The string already printed as contrast on those three pages is A tanács minden számlának 0,3 ETH-t jóváírt.
Constructed examples. Frames below are packaging hypotheses aligned with that printed string, with the Focus+nem contrast already printed beside it (Nem 0,3 ETH-t írtak jóvá minden számlának?), and with the lexical entry’s §3.2 / §5 / §7.2. HAS_ON_BOOKS after the event is e2. Payout / spendability is not entailed — same missing settlement default as English creditFIN. Do not fake elicitation. Indefinite conjugation on the printed string (jóváírt) is object definiteness of an indefinite measure, not a second argument. A definite measure takes jóváírta / írta jóvá.
Class table · FIN / MERIT / ATT / blame split (named roots). Index 2 lists Hungarian Attitude as hibáztat, okol, tulajdonít, elismer, jóváír (Vols. 3, 6). The ledger reading of jóváír is this page. MERIT stays on elismer at creditMERIT · Hungarian. Content-ascribe stays on tulajdonít at attributeATT · Hungarian. Fault stays on hibáztat / okol. Dative -nak/-nek marks Account here and Target on MERIT and ATT. Same case letters are not the same licenser. Index 2 Payment cites fizet, átutal — not this root. FIN has MeasureP and Account. MERIT, ATT, and blame have neither.
Scout / deferred. Noun jóváírás shares ledger talk; relative productivity against the verb is scout-leaning and is not ranked. An instrumental amount on an accusative account is not the printed cloth and is not ranked as a second geometry. Polish zapisać is live at credit-fin-pl.html (printed Rada zapisała 0,3 ETH na rachunku; GEN-neg on the measuring QP is filed there, not here). Bulgarian записа is live at credit-fin-bg.html (printed Съветът записа 0,3 ETH по сметката; по+Account; no GEN-neg and no Focus). No credit-merit-bg.html and no credit-merit-pl.html. sell·Navajo stays deferred. No fake elicitation.

Hierarchy

Same inventory as English creditFIN and the Germanic twins. Not five-place. Not four sisters of one V. Surface count can name the board, 0,3, ETH, the account, and a Q3 threshold — but Amount and Denomination share one MeasureP, Account is one Recipient / Domain-of-increment, and Reason is high / outer. minden quantifies that one Account. It is not an extra argument.

Intended labeling (shared English metalanguage)

√CREDIT_LEDGER / INCREMENT + VoiceA(Allocator) + MeasureP ⟨Amount, Denom⟩ + ApplTO(Recipient / Account)  ·  hierarchy Allocator > MeasureP > Rec/Account (> outer Reason)

Voice introduces Allocator (authority over a ledger — bank, board, smart contract, clearing house). MeasureP ⟨n, U⟩ is Incremental Theme of the increment — one measure object (Amount in Spec, Denomination as N). Low Appl_TO / book-Recipient introduces Account. Optional high miatt-Reason is outer justification of the increment, not Charge of MERIT and not Purpose of earmark’s RESTRICT. Hungarian clothes put Account in the dative (számlának) and the MeasureP in the accusative (ETH-t). They do not add a DOC of two bare accusative Themes, and they do not copy MERIT’s dative Target onto this root.

0,3 ETH = one MeasureP. Orthography is not extra arity (Hungarian decimal comma, the same string already on the MERIT, ATT, and blame pages). The accusative -t sits on the denomination head. Amount and Denomination are both inner arguments of that object. Composition is V(MeasureP), not V(n)(U). Hom(e, ⟨n,U⟩): the increment is measured by degree n on scale U.

Working hierarchy: Allocator > MeasureP ⟨Amount, Denomination⟩ > Recipient / Account > Reason. Case ranking on jóváír is Allocator (NOM) > MeasureP (ACC) > Account (DAT). Weather still fails Allocator. Payout is still not entailed. HAS_ON_BOOKS ≠ payout.

Hungarian frames · Case clothes

One lemma, not two roots. jóváír takes accusative MeasureP and dative Account. That is the string already printed on credit-merit-hu.html, attribute-att-hu.html, and blame-hu.html. The prefix jóvá- is part of the lemma (jóváír, jóváírt, jóváírni). It occupies the verb-modifier slot when nothing else does, and it follows the verb when Focus or nem takes that slot. There is no second structural accusative. Do not conflate this dative Account with MERIT/ATT’s dative Target, and do not conflate the accusative MeasureP with blame’s accusative Target.

MeasureP WH / LBC

Unlike creditMERIT, attributeATT, and blame, creditFIN has a verbal MeasureP. Amount and Denomination compose one measure object. Whole-QP pied-piping is free under Neg. Amount-only is free when the unit is bound. Left-branch extraction of Amount leaving the unit next to the verb is still out — same LBC record as deduct / sell / chargeFEE and the live creditFIN twins. WH is Focus, so jóvá- separates. The dative suffix takes the whole Account DP. It does not split the MeasureP, and it does not strand.

DAT Account ≠ DAT Target · ACC MeasureP ≠ Charge · ACC MeasureP ≠ blame’s Target

Dative Account = book-Recipient under Appl_TO — not the ascribee. The same -nak/-nek letters mark Target on elismer and tulajdonít. Accusative MeasureP = quantized ledger increment — not Charge content, not blame’s person, not sell Price, not pay Consideration. Different lemmas (jóváír vs elismer vs tulajdonít vs hibáztat / okol) and different licensers (Appl_TO / √CREDIT_LEDGER vs √ASCRIBE vs √ASCRIBE_FAULT). Collapsing FIN with MERIT or ATT because dative can mark both Account and Target is the error this split exists to block.

Superiority ranks Allocator > MeasureP > DAT Account > outer Reason. Amount and Denomination never compete as two verbal WH-items. Cheap NegQ association tracks the MeasureP. Challenging the Account wants that book already under Focus.

Focus + nem · one host · jóvá- separates

Hungarian has one preverbal Focus position. The Group C shell plate (chat 04) already uses it for live elismer and tulajdonít, and for blame, which has no prefix. On jóváír the verb modifier in that slot is the prefix jóvá-. When the slot is empty of Focus and of nem, the prefix stays on the stem. When a constituent is the unique Focus host, or when nem takes the slot, the prefix follows the verb. The prefix cannot share the slot. Separation is Move of the particle. It is not a new argument.

A bare Nem immediately before the verb challenges the increment event. Challenging the sum wants the MeasureP already in Focus. Challenging the book wants the dative already in Focus. Negation does not grow a double object, does not turn the account into a second accusative, and does not rewrite ETH-t as ETH-nek. Hungarian -nak/-nek on számlának is the Account dative in the affirmative and under Neg alike. It is not a genitive of negation, and the spelling shared with possessors does not add a theta. Polish GEN-neg rewrites a measuring QP on live creditFIN · zapisać. It is not a Hungarian rule and it is not imported here.

Geometry · creditFIN ≠ creditMERIT ≠ attributeATT ≠ blame ≠ deduct ≠ payer

In A tanács minden számlának 0,3 ETH-t jóváírt, the board writes 0,3 ETH onto each account’s book. That is ledger INCREMENT, not ascription and not HAVE of goods. The account is Account. 0,3 ETH is MeasureP. HAS_ON_BOOKS holds after the event; spendability / payout is not entailed.

Shells, ApplP, and Case

Merge Merge

Allocator, MeasureP, and Account are selected. DAT Account and ACC MeasureP merge under √CREDIT_LEDGER. Amount and Denomination are inside one MeasureP, not two sisters of V. The prefix jóvá- is not an argument. No DOC and no ApplHAVE of goods.

Agree Agree

T agrees with the Allocator (NOM, φ). v agrees with ACC MeasureP. Definite conjugation (jóváírta / írta) tracks a definite measure. Indefinite conjugation (jóváírt / írt) is the printed QP. DAT Account is Case, not a second Agree for Goal HAVE.

Move Move

One Focus host moves preverbally. Focus and nem force jóvá- off the verb. Amount does not move out of the MeasureP (LBC). The dative suffix does not strand. Allocator does not share Spec,Focus with MeasureP or Account.

Filter Filter

Voice: weather is not an Allocator. The filter survives Neg and an outer causative wrap. Gold HAS_ON_BOOKS ≠ payout. No DOC of two bare accusatives. No GEN-neg fifth theta. MERIT elismer is a different root.

  1. M1√CREDIT_LEDGER merges with MeasureP ⟨Amount, Denom⟩
  2. M2DAT (-nak/-nek) merges with Account
  3. M3Voice merges Allocator
  4. A4T ↔ Allocator · NOM + φ
  5. A5v ↔ MeasureP · ACC (definite conjugation if the measure is definite)
  6. V6One Focus host → preverbal slot

Focus field (one host · prefix leaves V)

FocusP [ MeasurePFOC or AccountFOC or nem ] · *both
  VP [ írt [ jóvá- ] ]
— neutral affirmative: jóvá- stays on the stem (jóváírt)
— Focus / nem: jóvá- follows the verb (írt jóvá)
— no second structural accusative
— no GEN rewrite of ETH-t

jóváír assigns one structural accusative: the MeasureP. The Account wears dative. There is no frame in which MeasureP and Account are both bare accusative Themes. No low ApplHAVE of goods. No low ApplSWAP. No √ASCRIBE. High Appl / Affectee / outer Reason is extra when present. The prefix is lemma morphology (jóváír, jóváírt, jóváírta, jóváírni, and separated írt jóvá / írta jóvá). It is not a Norwegian bound prefix and it is not a German particle that strands in every main clause.

Neo-Davidsonian sketch (entry §7.2)

∃e [ INCREMENT(e)
  ∧ INIT(e, tanács)
  ∧ DEGREE(e, 0.3) ∧ UNIT(e, ETH)
  ∧ TO_SET(e, R) ∧ Hom(e, ⟨0.3, ETH⟩)
  ∧ JUSTIFIED_BY(e, Q3) ] // Reason optional
result: ∀y ∈ R. HAS_ON_BOOKS(y, ⟨0.3, ETH⟩) after e

Replace TO_SET with FROM_SET and INCREMENT with DECREMENT and the deduct entry drops out. The dative wrapper does not change the semantics. e2 = HAS_ON_BOOKS; e3 payout is not asserted. minden is the quantifier on R, not a second event.

Sibling FIN pages omit diagnostics the language does not have. Hungarian FIN matches that list, with the local cuts filed above: Focus+nem, prefix separation, and definite vs indefinite conjugation.

NegQ pointer · association sites

Negative questions on creditFIN keep the FIN map. They do not invent a fifth theta name and they do not create a Charge. Neg sits in the preverbal slot and associates downward. Cheap inner associate = the MeasureP. The dative Account stays the book. Reason stays outer. Payout / spendability is systematically missing as a default Neg target — same moral as bet’s missing settlement. One polar question below is the string already printed as contrast on the live MERIT, ATT, and blame pages.
